Abstract: Milhench Supply Company was originally established in 1932 to distribute production supplies to the textile industry. Eighty years later, the company is thriving as a third generation family owned and managed business. From the textile industry, to the fish processing industry, to current day distribution of janitorial and packaging supplies, learn how this New Bedford business has adapted and survived through the years. With many long time employees, the company is still owned and managed by the Milhench family and continues to grow during these economically challenging times.
Heike Milhench has been President of Milhench Supply Company since 2001. Heike graduated from Dartmouth College and received her MBA from Cornell University. After 5 years of economic development work for a venture capital firm in Eastern Europe, Heike returned to Southeastern Massachusetts to help her father, Arthur, and brother, Mark to run the family business. Heike lives in Providence, RI. |
