Description: Step UP! will be hosting a screening of The Brandon Teena Story in the Center for Women, Gender & Sexuality.

The Brandon Teena Story is a documentary about hatred and transphobia in the heartland of America. The film focuses on the last few weeks of Brandon Teena's life in a small town in Nebraska.

Step UP! is a prosocial behavior and bystander intervention program that educates students to be proactive in helping others. Teaching people about the determinants of prosocial behavior makes them more aware of why they sometimes don’t help. As a result they are more likely to help in the future.
