The tenure track has been described as a “the equivalent of a six-year-long job interview” (P. Johnston, The Chronicle of Higher Education, 2008). Now that you got the job, what comes next? What do you want to accomplish? And how do you get there? Join us for a faculty conversation led by Mark Santow (History) as we discuss career choices after tenure.
This faculty conversation will take place on Tuesday, April 2nd, 12:30-1:30, at the OFD. These lunch sessions are designed to connect faculty with common interests across departmental and college boundaries. The atmosphere is relaxed and the discussion tends to be quite lively. Although there is a facilitator (or more), there is no set agenda. Attendees are encouraged to follow-up on issues raised during these conversations. The OFD will facilitate efforts to sustain interest in those issues.
Lunch will be provided. If you wish to attend, please reserve your lunch with Sandy Viveiros, firstname.lastname@example.org, x. 9182.
