The exhibition Here, There and Back Again: Artisanry Faculty and Alumni includes work by Artisanry Department faculty at UMass Dartmouth and selected alumni. Representing the media areas of Ceramics, Jewelry/Metals, Textile Design/Fiber Arts, and Furniture Design/Wood, the seven faculty each chose two BFA and MFA alumni to submit work. The pieces on display range from objects of utility to pieces with a more concept-based approach within each medium.
The exhibition runs from October 23 to November 9, 2012 with the opening reception at the gallery on Thursday, November 1st from 4 to 6pm. Thompson Sarah Burgess, BFA '99 Abigail Heuss, BFA '04 Chris Irick, MFA '98 Dianne Reilly, MFA '03 TEXTILE DESIGN/FIBER ARTS Faculty: Charlotte Hamlin, Deborah Frazee Carlson Ellisha Fitzpatrick, BFA '11 Dayna Hartford, BFA ‘10 Paula Erenberg Medieros, MFA '12 Jodi Stevens, MFA '10 WOOD/FURNITURE DESIGN Faculty: Reuben Foat Duncan Gowdy, BFA '94 Tom Loeser, MFA '92 The CVPA Campus Gallery is located on the first floor of the Visual and Performing Arts building at UMass Dartmouth, 285 Old Westport Road, North Dartmouth, MA 02747. Visitors are advised to use parking lot 7. Gallery hours are Monday-Thursday 10am to 4pm, Friday 10am to 3pm. Free and open to public. |
