The deadline for students who need accommodations for housing for the 2013-2014 school year under the Americans With Disabilities Act is approaching.
By law, students with a disability do not have to self-disclose or register with the Center for Access and Success or Housing and Residential Education. If, on the other hand, a student is seeking housing accommodations or adjustments, he/she must contact Housing and Residential Education before February 15 to request services or accommodations for the upcoming academic year. All housing accommodations are determined on a case-by-case basis by Housing and Residential Education. Students can find full details on the process, including the necessary forms, at the link below. Any further questions about ADA Housing for the 2013-2014 academic year can be directed to Brad Rohrer, Assistant Director for Housing Administrative Services, at 508-999-8140. Please note that students applying for ADA housing will still need to put in a $200 prepayment during the assigned room prepayment period (February 19 - March 4) in order to secure housing for the upcoming year. Once again, the deadline to have ADA paperwork turned in to Housing and Residential Education is February 15. |
