UMass Dartmouth College of Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA) presents the Art-Based Research: Master of Art Education 2013 Art Exhibitt through February 7, 2013 at the CVPA Campus Gallery. The closing reception will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2013 from 4 to 6pm. This exhibition features the work of artists/researchers in the Master of Art Education (MAE) program who are currently working in or working towards a career in art education in K-12 studio classrooms. Visitors can enjoy traditional media such as paintings, prints, photographs, jewelry, ceramics, as well as progressive art such as spray paintings and skateboard sculptures. The graduate program in Art Education is dedicated to increasing its graduates' capacity to question issues related to teaching, thinking, learning, and producing in and through the visual arts. This collection displays the skill-range of current MAE students and celebrates their dedication to the study and practice of visual art. Exhibiting artists: Corine Adams, Greta Anderson, Amanda Cabral, Linda Dempsey, Daniel Dobbins, Stephen King, Jamie Lynch, Jennifer Percel, Rosannette Rivera, Sarah Ryan, Lauren Savoia, Alanna Schull, Jennifer Scott, Chase Stevens, HoYin Yuen The CVPA Campus Gallery is located on the first floor of the Visual and Performing Arts building at UMass Dartmouth, 285 Old Westport Road, North Dartmouth, MA 02747. Visitors are advised to use parking lot 7. Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday 10am - 4pm, Friday 10am - 3pm.
