The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's hockey team will make their fourth trip to the NCAA Division III Championships when they visit Bowdoin Wednesday evening. Game time is tentatively set for 7pm at Bowdoin's Sidney J. Watson Arena.
The Polar Bears were the New England Small College Athletic Conference champions, and went 22-3-2 this season. The winner of Wednesday night's game will travel to Utica for a semi-final on Saturday. The Corsairs, who are currently 12-7-7, earned their 12th conference championship, their first MASCAC title, and their fourth trip to the NCAA Division III Championships when they won at Plymouth State, 2-1, Saturday night, are making their first trip to the NCAAs since they made three consecutive trips to the tournament, the last during the 2007-08 season as a member of the Eastern College Athletic Conference Northeast. |
