The UMD Psychology Department welcomes NEADS (National Education for Assistance Dog Services), a non-profit organization offering a wide range of canine training programs, including: canines for combat veterans; dogs for people with physical disabilities, vision or hearing impairment; dogs for children with autism; and the Prison PUP Partnership. Curious about how assistance dogs are selected and trained for their duties? Come to learn more from our NEADS guest speaker, John Moon, and several service dogs.
Sponsored by a Provost's Grant for Department Seminar Series and Psi Chi, the National Honor Society for Psychology. |
