The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Tobias S. Monte will present a free concert on Tuesday, November 27, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the main auditorium. Parking is available in lot 5.
The Wind Ensemble, comprised of students, faculty, alumni and community musicians are slated to perform an array of selections representing a range of styles. The program will include Julius Fucik's "Florentiner March," Aaron Copland's "An Outdoor Overture," Frank Ticheli's "Fortress," Keith Foley's "Sanctuary," and a special arrangement by Sammy Nestico of a holiday classic called, "Good Swing Wenceslas."
In addition, the brass and woodwind sections will perform ensemble pieces as well as a Robert W. Smith composition entitled, "Inchon," which conveys the story of a Korean War battle.
