Golf Tournament on July 30 to benefit SHARE Foundation
The Sunday Morning Golfers and the Pawtuxet Valley Rotary Club invite golfers to the 23rd Annual Ben Boyle Golf Classic on Sunday, July 30, 2006 at the Richmond Country Club in Hope Valley, Rhode Island.
Golfers who participate will win the satisfaction of helping a charitable organization because the proceeds from this tournament will benefit the Society for Human Advancement Through Rehabilitation Engineering (SHARE). SHARE supports the work done at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Center for Rehabilitation Engineering.
Shotgun scramble time is 8 a.m. The registration fee of $125 includes the greens fee for 18 holes of golf on the beautiful Richmond Country Club course, a cart and a prime rib dinner served when players finish their rounds of play.
This year, the golfer who gets closest to the pin on the 5th and 17th holes will win a prize. In addition, there will be prizes for the first and second low score foursome as well as the longest drive. Tee signs are available for $50.
Since 1981, SHARE has assisted more than 2,400 children and adults with disabilities such as cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) and multiple sclerosis by providing them with equipment and services that allow them to communicate and manage their environments through the power of computers.
