UMass Dartmouth celebrates faculty scholars

Eleven books added to the Wall of Scholarship reflect the "passionate teachers and pioneers in our midst"

UMass Dartmouth added 11 books to its Wall of Scholarship today, celebrating the scholarly and creative activity of its faculty and staff. The Wall of Scholarship, established in 2004 by Chancellor Jean F. MacCormack, is located in the third floor atrium of the Foster Administration. The display, designed by Professor Anthony Miraglia, now contains more than 100 framed book jackets and art works.

"While we display the book jackets and a sampling of artwork, we know that there is so much more going on in the laboratories, studios, and minds of our faculty and staff  than can be ever displayed here," Chancellor MacCormack said during a ceremony honoring the newest additions to the wall. "This is what a university is all about, and we are fortunate to have such passionate teachers and pioneers in our midst."
