Dr. Khalsa will discuss the latest cutting edge research and developments of medical science and bioengineering. With more than 47 years of experience in drug research, he is responsible for an international program of clinical research on medical and health consequences of drug abuse and co-occurring infections. Dr. Khalsa will also discuss research opportunities for UMass Dartmouth faculty and students. He will offer his thoughts on advances in medical applications of biotechnology and nanotechnology, as well as drug abuse and HIV-related issues.
Dr. Khalsa's March 6 seminar at UMass Dartmouth is free and open to the general public. Refreshments will be served.
