Date: March 3, 2014
Department: Center for Women, Gender & Sexuality
The university community and general public are all welcome. Desserts, tea, and coffee will be served. International Women's Day is celebrated globally every year on March 8. This year's theme is "Equality for women is progress for all".
The celebration is co-sponsored by the International Student & Scholar Center (ISSC) and the Center for Women, Gender & Sexuality (CWGS). Originally founded in 1970 as the Women's Center, CWGS is a voice for women and the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered community, with the purpose of eliminating barriers, diminishing prejudices, and creating a supportive climate and space for all.
