The Umass Dartmouth Chorus To Perform In Concert
AT THE UNITED NATIONS, NEW YORK CITY MAY 19, 2011 at 1:00 PM
The UMD Chorus, under the direction of UMass Dartmouth Department of Music faculty member Dr. Tianxu Zhou, has performed on multiple occasions this year throughout the South Coast Massachusetts area. Their appearances have included performances with the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra, at New Bedford's AHA! Night and at UMass Dartmouth, among others.
The performance will include O Mangum Mysterium by Morten Lauridsen, Pastoral Song, a traditional Chinese folk song and Hisakata No by Ruth Morris Gray, in addition to other works. In addition to the performance at the United Nations, the Chorus will tour the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and other locations in New York City.
Congratulations to the UMD Chorus. This is a great honor recognizing the work of the members of the UMass Dartmouth Chorus and Dr. Zhou.
