Suzanne Schireson Exhibits at The Ecorea Jeonbuk Biennale in Jeollabuk-do South Korea
Assistant Professor Suzanne Schireson, Fine Arts Department-Painting, was selected to participate and exhibit at The Ecorea Jeonbuk Biennale, October 2012.
Assistant Professor Suzanne Schireson just returned from The Ecorea Jeonbuk Biennale in Jeollabuk-do, South Korea. A group of selected international artists from over 30 countries came together to participate in this international juried exhibition and workshop. The experience was three-fold: an exhibition at The Sori Arts Center, workshops at multiple sites, and a range of communal experiences all embedded in multicultural and inter-disciplinary settings. During the workshop Schireson worked on an installation with six of the artists and also participated in a collaborative public mural.
Schireson was one of three American artists who participated in this event; her painting is currently on display at The Sori Arts Center of Jeollabuk-do and will remain in the permanent collection of the International Beokam Museum. In addition to the museum exhibitions, a smaller body of her work will travel throughout schools in the region of Jeollabuk-do via a mobile gallery.
