White's of Westport Web Site

Follow Directions for Hampton Inn, they are adjacent to each other.

Apponagansett Point Park (Site of Competition Sunday):

From Hampton Inn of Westport:

Take Rt 6 towards New Bedford / Dartmouth

Follow Rt 6 for about 8 mi

Take a right onto Slocum Rd, there is a Cumberland Farms on your left and Bishop Stang is on your right.  Note: Right turn on red is not allowed at this intersection.

Follow Slocum Rd. until you see a gas station on your left and the Dartmouth Police Station on your right.

Take your next left onto Elm St.

There is a stop sign on Elm St at Prospect St, proceed through this stop sign (after stoping of course)

Take a right onto Gulf Rd at your next set of lights after the stop sign

Arrive at Apponagansett Point Park on your right.  Parking for contestants and spectators is available at the Park on your right.  For boat trucks, proceed past the parking lot and take your next right.  This is an access road that is closer to the bay where we will be doing the races.  There is no convenient boat ramp, so teams will need to unload their boats at the end of the access road and then walk them a short distance (approx. 60 ft) to the water.  There is a boat ramp in the parking lot just prior to the access road if teams would like to use that.  I would advise against it because it is a long way around to the bay where the races will be held.  Also, the water near the shore is rocky for part of that journey, and you would run the risk of puncturing your boat if you hugged the shore (The area we will racing in is free of rocks).

$200 per team + $35 per person

Notes: The $35 per person is for dinner Saturday night, T-Shirt, site reservation costs and lunch on Sunday.  This does not cover costs of hotels, it is up to each team to reserve their rooms and pay for them.

Money is due by Friday April 14th at 5:00 PM, Checks may be made payable to UMass Dartmouth ASCE.  Please contact Kevin Paradise or Nate Ketchel to inquire as to other forms of payment
