The College of Engineering is pleased to welcome new Assistant Professors Igal Bilik, Robert Fisher, and Nima Rahbar.
Prior to joining UMass Dartmouth, Dr. Bilik was a postdoctoral research associate at Duke University where he worked on a wide range of radar and sonar applications. He received his B.S., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical and computer engineering from Ben-Gurion University.
Dr. Fisher received his B.S. degree in physics from the California Institute of Technology and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of California at Berkeley, specializing in astrophysics. Dr. Fisher was most recently a research scientist studying star formation and reactive gas dynamics at the University of Chicago.
Dr. Rahbar earned his B.S. and M.Sc. degrees in civil engineering from Sharif Institute of Technology and Northeastern University, respectively. He completed his Ph.D. at Princeton University specializing in mechanics of biomimetic and composite materials and interfacial adhesion.
