In order to celebrate the International Year of Astronomy and to
highlight the new focus of the Physics Department on Computing and
Simulation, a 2-day symposium "Computing and Simulation in Astronomy
and Physics" is organized by Professors J. P. Hsu, G. Khanna and J.
