Alan Hirshfeld Receives Contract to Write His 3rd Book

Alan Hirshfeld just received a contract to write his 3rd book, entitled "Eureka Man: The Life and Legacy of Archimedes," to be published in late 2008 by Walker Books in New York.

The book is intended for the general reader and will detail Archimedes' scientific, mathematical, and technological achievements and his profound influence on the development of science. A parallel narrative will tell the amazing tale of the elusive Archimedes Palimpsest, oldest extant manuscript of Archimedes' works, lost and then rediscovered in the modern era.
