Engineered Yarns of Fall River, in collaboration with the Materials & Textiles Department has won an SBIR Phase 1 contract on "Highly Conducting Textile Fibers for Electro-Textile Applications" for the US Army Natick Soldier Center. This builds off research on smart textiles supported at UMD by the National Textile Center.
