What are Cooperative Education & Internship Programs?
The goal of both Cooperative Education and Internships is to provide students with practical experience related to their major that will enhance and complement their classroom learning. Both Co-op students and student interns receive compensation for their work.
An Internship combines part-time study -- typically enrollment in two courses or six credits or school work -- with part-time work that averages at least 20 hours per week. On the other hand, Cooperative education involves full-time work only.
Our program's structure is such that a student may participate in two internship work sessions and have them count as one Co-op work session.
