Job Category: Other
Description: The English Department seeks four (4) energetic, creative, self-motivated full-time English majors to assist the Department Chairperson develop a strong extracurricular community among English majors and minors. Working as a team, the students will research the English-relevant interests of majors/minors; devise a series of activities that meet those interests; and produce those activities, arranging all logistics and promotions. Possible activities could include, but are not limited to: lectures, readings, professional workshops, theater trips, field trips, language-based games, more. The team's research will determine which activities to pursue. The team will be responsible for producing a minimum of three (3) events per semester.
Qualifications: Declared English major w/concentration. Minimum 3.0 g.p.a. Junior/Senior standing, with at least fifteen credits earned toward the major. No mid-year graduation. Candidates must be outgoing and responsible, able to work independently as well as part of a team. Self-motivation a must. Experience producing community/campus events a plus.
