Japanese Spurge Ground Cover
This is a common evergreen groundcover for partial to nearly full shade. It grows 6-10" high. Leaves diamond shaped, dark green and glossy, and are held below clustered at the tips of shoots in whorls with several inches of naked stem. Small white flowers bloom in late March and early April. Small greenish-white fruits are inconspicuous. Subject to spider mites in full sun. Prefers acidic soil. It's hardy in zone 4. Located in the Umass Dartmouth Athletic Center Garden.
