Rhododendro x 'Boule de Neige'
White Rhododendron, Ball of Snow
Family: Ericaceae

A vigorous, compact, rounded evergreen shrub with dense spreading habit. Produces large, elliptical, lustrous dark green leaves. In late April-mid May bares large trusses of funnel-shaped white flowers. Grows wider than high as it matures to approximately 5' x 8'. Considered by many horticulturalists to be one of the best rhododendrons available as an accent or for border planting. This shrub can be found in the Campus Entrance Gardens west. Hardiness zone: 4-9
