Workshops by Request
Peer Health Educator Workshops
The Peer Health Educators deliver the following workshops, available upon request:
Sex Jeopardy (Sexual Health)
Put your sexual health “know-how” to the test in Sex Jeopardy!, a fun, interactive game show which provides informed and honest answers to some of the most common sexual health questions asked by college students. Latex, lube, lights, breasts, balls, and buzzers…oh my! Won’t you give our program a try?
Ultimate Sex Jeopardy (Sexual Health)
Just like Sex Jeopardy, but with new categories and questions. (You asked for it!)
The Absolute Truth (Alcohol)
Let’s face it, most college students drink. “Just Say No” doesn’t work. Students need to learn how they can drink more safely. The Absolute Truth is a fun, interactive program which discusses the myths/facts of drinking, how to measure your blood alcohol concentration (BAC), drink equivalencies (How many drinks are in your Solo cup?), the signs of alcohol poisoning and how to help, and more….Do you know The Absolute Truth?
Rxology 101 (Prescription Drug Misuse/Abuse)
Prescription drug misuse is on the rise. Rxology 101 quizzes students on why medications are abused, why it is dangerous, and how to recognize problems related to prescription drugs, all in an engaging, hands-on program.
Are you having trouble sleeping at night? Tossing and turning in bed? Or, are you sleeping too much and not getting anything done? If you said yes to any of these questions, or want to learn more about sleep habits and caffeine pros and cons, then Truly Tired: A College Guide To Sleep is the program for you!
Consent is Sexy (Consent/Sexual Assault)
Do you know what consent is? Do you know how to ask for consent? In the Consent is Sexy program, students learn the definition of consent, why it is necessary, and how consent can be sexy. Consent is Sexy is offered for students by students, so will you ask for it?
STARR-Students Teaching About & Advocating for Respect in Relationships (Healthy/Unhealthy Relationships)
Learn about dating abuse and how to help a friend in an abusive relationship. Discuss the characteristics of healthy vs. unhealthy relationships.
Healthy Feud (Nutrition)
Play against your peers in an interactive Family Feud-inspired competition that challenges you to name some popular responses to various questions relating to nutrition.
