A Mindful Look at Campus Waste and Recycling

Summary: From February 7th, 2007 - What do we waste and why? As we begin to recognize that there is no "away" in which to throw our trash, the ecological, financial, and ethical consequences of our resource use loom large. As a campus community, our individual choices--for both good and ill--are magnified a thousandfold. While recycling is one of the most visible and constructive ways we deal with waste, other possibilities, including composting and source reduction, are also fertile grounds for change.
