Welcome to the home page of the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. The Provost has direct oversight responsibility for the College of Arts and Sciences, the Charlton College of Business, the College of Engineering, the College of Nursing, the College of Visual and Performing Arts and the School for Marine Science and Technology.
The Provost also has oversight responsibility for Professional and Continuing Education, the Office of Research Administration, the Admissions Office, the Registrar's Office, Academic Advising Center and the academic centers.
The primary duty of the Provost is to ensure the quality of education and research at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels. In chairing the Academic Council and the Deans' Council, the Provost works directly with senior academic administrators on the campus to achieve this mission.
